Georgia Organics builds supply through comprehensive grower education and outreach programs, and catalyzes demand on the consumer and business end by fostering market opportunities for local food through the following programs:
We provide education, mentorship programs, and support systems for Georgia farmers to strengthen and expand the number of organic and sustainable farms in the state.
Farm to School
Childhood obesity rates and nutrition-related diseases are rapidly rising. Farm to School improves child nutrition by increasing local food in school meals and by involving students in cooking and gardening
Consumer Education & Advocacy
Georgia Organics is working to ensure that food and agriculture is a key element of sustainability planning, and we advocate legislative priorities on the state and federal level. We also educate consumers about the value of organic agriculture and the economic, environmental, and health benefits of buying from their local organic farmer.
